I recently submitted a 1 star review on their site. It was never published, I have been checking everyday for the past week. However, they have published 5 star reviews that were written AFTER my review. A warning to everyone - before you buy something, go to the website. There is no way to contact customer service. Nume does not have a "contact us" option. I used my hair dryer a few times a year and it no longer has a "high speed". This is not a reputable company. There are other 1 star reviews with the same issue I have. A waste of money.

I was so excited for my first Nume purchase that I even expedited my shipping so I could receive it sooner. However, I did not get my order even though tracking is stating delivered. I was asked to sign an affidavit. I am skeptical to have a replacement sent and merchant is refusing to refund. Very disappointed in the customer service. I will be taking further actions.

I am not one to write complaints about a product but this is my exception. I had bought a NuMe curling iron (200$)... and it didnt work. The temperature would fluctuate and would not set at the desired temperature. I complained about it and got sent a new wand... after sending it back I got ANOTHER wand that didnt work. Except this one wouldn't even turn on. I expressed my frustration and wrote a review on their website. They contacted me and sent me ANOTHER wand. I got it and it worked... eventually it started glitching. By this time it was too late to return, nor did I want to struggle to return it again. Now it wont even turn on. I am so disappointed because I wanted to invest in a curling iron I thought would be durable and last me for years. I would never buy again.

I purchased on 2012, these were the Jenni Rivera Hair straighteners. I had these stored as memorabilia after the passing of the singer and a few days ago my 10yr old flat iron stopped working. I decided to use one of the irons and the paint of the streightener felt sticky and it was all over my fingers. I thought that possibly it was just the one tool and opened the 2nd package and it was also sticky and paint was all over my hands. I paid about $190 with tax for each. These are really bad quality, it might even be realizing toxins from the paint. Just fyi, these were new and sealed in each box, had never used them.

The company and I emailed back and forth trying to track down the proof of purchase and finally settled on one of the names of the gift givers. I am not sure if this lead them to the original payment proof or not, however, they offered to charge me $29.99 to replace...

I have an Octowand, which I received as a Christmas gift 2 years ago. After using it less than 10 times, (approximately 6 months ) the unit stopped working and just wouldn’t turn on at all.

I have a number of other wands, so just put it away and started using the older, cheaper ones. Just this week, I decided that I want to get it fixed and use it for Halloween, when I emailed the company, they said they need proof of purchase to further assist me. I told them it was a gift and that it only worked for 6 months. They said they cannot help me until I can provide proof of purchase and offered to search my gift givers email address and names.

At this point, the issue is not looking like it will be resolved as the unit was purchased on Amazon and over a year ago. I am very frustrated with their lack of support and don’t understand how they expect to get lifetime customers when they are clearly selling shotty products and will not help their customers repair or replace them.

I would even be willing to pay to have the base unit fixed, but I will certainly NEVER buy another NUME product. I am very disappointed and should’ve done my research on this product before asking for such an expensive wand.

Overpriced for the products you receive

I did research online when I bought my NuMe flat iron and curling wand set. People seemed to love how well the products worked, so I decided to give them a try.

Based on the reviews I expected salon-quality products. The products I ordered did not work nearly as well as I expected them to. The flat iron doesn't get my hair completely straight, which is a huge letdown. I have very fine, moderately wavy, hair.

If it doesn't work for me, I can't imagine it working on thick or curly hair. The curling wand I purchased worked okay when it was still functional. Nothing to rave about, but it was just fine. The wand handle has three interchangeable wand attachments that are different sizes.

The mechanism that locks them in place is two small plastic pieces in the handle. One of these pieces broke after a month or two of having the product, rendering the wand completely useless.

I'm so disappointed. I wanted to like NuMe.

My NuMe order arrived yesterday, and naturally, as any excited woman would, I tried the products my hair dresser recommended! This included the classic wand, megastar straightener, and signature blow dryer & diffuser.

All of these were underwhelming at best. Straightener made my hair frizzy after like 20 min, blow dryer doesn't get hot enough on the low setting, and the curling want feels like a toy and also makes my hair frizzy. According to NuMe's website, since I bought these things with a discount code, they are nonrefundable. So I'm apparently stuck with $300 worth of extremely disappointing products.

Don't buy from them. In this day in age it's just not worth it to buy from anyone who doesn't do free shippings and returns.

My husband ordered for my bday on february a travel kit wich i was in love with it. After 4 times that i used the hair straighner it broke on side like a crayola i called and i had send more thAn 4 emails and no one can get me a solution! This is crazy;( we lost 325 dollars

Broke Twice: Don't Waste Your Money

I bought the Titan 3-Barrel set three years ago. I loved that I could switch between the different sizes and overall my curls always turned out great.

Unfortunately, not even a year after buying the product, it stopped working. It wouldn't heat up, and I maybe used it once a month. Regardless, I decided I would give it another try because I liked the results. The second time around I bought the 1 inch magic wand that changes temperatures.

I took it on a trip to Italy. The product is dual votage, and I used the appropriate plug. Not even a few weeks after returning to the U.S., the wand would blink red or it would heat up and then get cold.

I used this wand less than 30 times before I had issues. I won't waste my money on this product ever again.

I ordered the Nume lustrum 5 in 1, because I am doing my hair for both of my proms. I was so excited to try out all the different wands. It gets here a day before my prom and it will not turn on. The base of it doesn’t work, there fore I can’t use any of the wands that I payed $160 dollars for. I am so disappointed and annoyed with Nume in general. I had the titan 3 in 1 before and it broke after about a month. I contacted customer service and there is nothing they can do about it. I hear so many good things about nume so I decided to give them another chance. Now I am just left disappointed and curless.

Broken when it arrived

I received my Titan 3 curling wand yesterday. I tried it this morning won’t turn on. Called customer service twice they seem to be way to busy to take the calls. I also emailed them they said they will get back in a day or two we shall see. Terrible customer service and products. Buyer beware.
